Inactive or Resting Behaviors

Sleeping (01): The individual lies still, head resting in the groins.

Lying (02): The individual lies still with head thrust out, not ruminating

Ruminating lying (03): Lying down with continuous movement of the jaws or with breaks less than 1 min.

Self-grooming lying (04): Licks the fur of the flanks, the limbs, the inguinal region while lying down

Feeding lying (05): Takes bites of vegetation in the vicinity of its body

Orienting lying (06): With raised head turns the ear-lobe in the direction of the line of vision; the snout is sometimes raised higher

Active Behaviors

Standing (07): Standing without movement without signs of orientation

(08): Feeding biting and swallowing vegetation in situ or during slow walking with frequent stops.

Sham feeding (09): Walking rapidly with head bent and pretending to graze

Self-grooming standing (10): Cleaning the fur by licking its own or another animalŐs body; scraping the head and neck with the rear limbs.
