Trevor Zachariah D.V.M.

Shana LavinTrevor Zachariah, D.V.M., is a graduate of Michigan State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science degree with Honor in zoology in 2000 and Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Zachariah was previously the intern in the bird, zoo and exotic medicine program at the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine (2004–2005).

In 2007, he received a Master of Science degree in veterinary clinical sciences from Louisiana State University. His research focused on control methods of Salmonella spp. in the habitat of aquatic chelonians. He then was chosen for the Chicago Zoo and Aquatic Animal Veterinary Residency program at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and the Chicago Zoological Society, which he started in July 2007.
