Katrina Scott, C.V.T. Katrina Scott graduated from Mount Ida College in 2002 with a B.S in veterinary technology, receiving her veterinary technician certification soon after graduation. She then completed a series on internships to gain experience working with exotic species, including stints with AZA-accredited institutions such as the New England Aquarium, Zoo New England (Franklin Park Zoo) and the Boston Museum of Science Live Animal Center as well as Angell Animal Medical Center's exotics department and the New England Wildlife Center. Following her internships, Scott worked as a veterinary technician at an emergency veterinary clinic for three years. Since starting at Lincoln Park Zoo in fall 2004, she has become involved in ongoing projects, including working with the Chicago Peregrine Falcon Reintroduction Project and co-creating a program that helps provide veterinary supplies to primate sanctuaries in Africa. Scott is a member of the Association of Zoo Veterinary Technicians. Publications |
